...And were back...

Just before I left for camp I ran into one of my best friends from camp Andy Beck (Pictured below)

who was a counselor when I went to camp. I found out when I got there that he and his wife were the directors for Mid-Winter.

Also I recently found out that after being the youth director for the First Christian Church of Norman for a number of years he has just become the new youth director for the First Christian Church of Midwest City just three miles from my church Faith Community Christian Church.

Another surprise for the weekend was that a CYF (high school) girl named Beckie Benge (Pictured below, on the left, Amber Jazdzewski pictured on the right)

was at camp too. I know Beckie because she has been coming to logos with Katy Crowel, (Pictured below)

little sister to my friend Kenny Crowel (Pictured below),

however Beckie is a member of the church Andy just moved to, so since he was both the director for the camp and her youth director he said she could come.

Among the kids we took along was JD Anderson (Pictured below)

who it turns out has the same birthday as me, so that’s cool.

Anyway, I had a great time and really enjoyed the experience as a whole. I will definitely try to do it again.

Happy Valentine's Day To Me!

Well, today I got a box of chocolates and a little stuffed cheetah with hearts for spots

from Susan Pratt (Pictured below)

for Valentine’s Day. So I’m really glad that I at least got her a card and her favorite candy bar (Twix) since I was still a little unsure of the level of our relationship, but I will have to try harder for next time. She also made cupcakes for everyone in the RSC Business Computer Lab Control Center where I do work-study (isn’t she so nice?). She also showed me another internet comic called 8-Bit Theater which is funny, but you kind of have to start at the begining and read all of it.

Enjoy the holiday

... high score with a 107

Well, today I got back my first test in Psychology. I was a little worried about it when I took it. When the professor was asking everybody how we thought we would do I raised my hand with the “get a B” group. Obviously I had nothing to worry about, as I received the highest grade in the class, 107 (94 plus 13 extra credit questions points).

And now for some background information:
My good friend Kenny has recently become both a Mason and a Shriner and has been selling tickets to “India’s 2005 Shrine Circus” which is on march 31st-april 3rd. I was talking to him about a week ago and he was complaining that he couldn’t do homework on his computer at home because he needed a new keyboard. I told him that I’d get him one and when I did he asked if I wanted anything in return. I told him I didn’t care, but then remembered the tickets and asked him if I could have one. He said he would get me two the next time I saw him, so now I had to find someone to take.

What I really wanted to talk about:
Well as luck would have it, Susan came back from a weekend of Skiing and Snowboarding today and is in the same the same Psychology class as me (now how did that happen *wink*), so after class I asked her if she wanted to go and she tentatively said yes pending a review of our schedules and whether or not she could get of work, but still, YEA!!

Another funny story:
My friend Kenny and I have gotten the chance to hang out a lot lately and so he’s been telling me about his girlfriend Colleen and how he’s been trying to impress her for Christmas and now Valentine’s Day. I was talking to him and Colleen last night and he was telling me how, even though he’s not worried, she’s sure she’s going to out-do him for Valentine’s Day. So they decided to make a bet: If he wins, she has to clean his truck from-top-to-bottom, inside-and-out; If she wins, he has to get her a green skirt that she wants. So I guess I’ll find out next week.

One more thing:
I have decided to be a consular for CHI RHO (junior high) Mid-Winter Retreat, which is this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at the Central Christian Camp in Guthrie. I hope to let you know how all that goes when I get back.

Well, that’s all for now, I’ll try to write again soon.
